As @sanduleak_1 puts it: an amazing pic. Ways better than the „flat“ Google view!!

I have that from the NASA catalog and meant „impossible“ to find. Identification points are illustrated here: http://twitpic.com/34v6l0

I am having trouble confirming "your diagnosis" on this one. With the confluence point, which way is one to "head" to see the terrain footprint?

@djsheptx ISS015E32142 Yemen, Amaqin Drain, bluffs, ravines. River confluence is exactly here: 14.40522,47.104225. Impressive pic, but possible to find, really!

@PC0101 Are we to search Sudan? If so, Google Earth is no help, just as you said! :-O

The country where to look is hidden in the lower right corner of this image: http://twitpic.com/32e3kd Only 200,000 square miles to search ;))

No joke: that’s what Grand Canyon will look like in a couple of million years. In Google the scene is so flat and grey that you won’t recognize it.

One of the wonderful HO (high oblique) shots, creating a 3D-impression. Only possible with handheld imagery produced by astronauts. And: You need an eye for such a scene!!!
