"Lakshadweep, India—in many ways, it is one of the last pristine frontiers of India’s marine heritage. And I think this picture preempts what is to come: There’s the lone fishing boat in the foreground, but what should be an untouched horizon is broken by the shape of a large commercial ship and a jetty. The water remains blue, however, and is home to one of the richest coral reefs in this part of the world. I hope it stays that way."
