They should trap little Tom Cruise in Woking to battle the tripods - like in 'the prisoner'.

When they announced that this was going to be built I was quite excited. I was disappointed. I could trip it up with a broom! I thought it was going to be huge and scary. Pah!

That's great! how come, as a fairly big War of the Worlds fan (the album version anyway), i didn't know about this being built? Woking... poor effort in terms of publicising this.

Yep, war of the worlds. The first tripod showed up in a park just down the road from the Ambassador's centre.

I love its little anntena things. Whatever it is anyway, it's vaporized all the curbs!! Dear sweet Jesus, where does the path end and the road starts?!

KrazyKizza 1159 days ago

haha! And she just walks by ignoring it!

As a fan of War of the Worlds, a milestone in sci-fi literature (and a rather excellent musical), I think it's quite good fun. Makes no less sense than the oversised wasp thing I saw in Watford!
