When found, the lone surviving kitten in her litter, she was so tiny, she had to be fed with an eye dropper. But even then, there was surety in her eyes. She took over — house, dogs, cats, and hearts. When the illustrator Barry Zaid adopted her, he named her Penny — and we all agree she came from heaven.
