Here's Airbus's latest idealised Concept Aircraft, as revealed at Farnborough 2010. The cunning plan is to have longer and slimmer high aspect-ratio wings (i.e. ultra long and thin) to glide better through the air, a la 787. "They'll also improve fuel efficiency and the flow of air over the surface of the wing to reduce drag and fuel burn," says Airbus.
