One of the cleaner streets that I saw in Egypt. Very few were paved and there was trash everywhere. Many of the buildings were not very complete and many looked like they were about to fall down from the outside. However, our tour guide kept assuring us that people liked living like this, and that they didn't mind having very little. Makes you wonder, doesn't it? No wonder they hate us in the West so much.
