A large area rug is a must. Since your walls are different colors maybe a yellow-orange.

A big area rug with the colors of the couch, the black pillows and tv stand and the blue in the wall. Can you put something by the fireplace? If so a nice vase.

I would move the sofa closer to the mild of the room. Then put down a redish black area rug square or round. Then I would get a pretty round coffee table made in wood. Like a cherry or red wood. The way u took the pic it looks like a long room. So cut it

I've always heard that stripped area rugs tend to make rooms look larger. Along with neutral walls and natural light too.
