For an excursion today, go out to la Butte aux Cailles. It is a village inside Paris. Has nice cafes, bistrots etc. Nearest Metro is Place d'Italie. When you get out of the station, walk down rue Bobillot and turn right at rue de la Butte aux Cailles - yo

For breakfast, go to Cafe des Deux Moulins, 15, Rue Lepic 18th. You can walk there or get the metro 1 stop from Pl de Clichy to Blanche. It is the famous cafe where "Amelie" was filmed.
